I'm sure by now most of you have heard our baby news, but just in case, here is a little update of our newest addition! Micah Joseph Keating was born on Friday, December 10th at 1:37pm weighing in at 8lbs and measuring 20 1/2 inches long. I had been scheduled for a c-section that day and was a little surprised to make it to my appointment time based on all the cramping I had had the previous few days...but we made it to the day and everything went as smoothly as possible.
Micah is doing great and is such a joy to have in our home! Caleb and Noah have been really sweet with their new brother and are constantly asking to see him, hold him, show him things, make cards for him, play with him, etc. It's really fun to see them, especially Noah as this is a new role for him, take on the privilege of helping care for their little brother.
So now we are home and starting to get used to the craze of having an infant as well as being outnumbered by our kids! Mitch's primary role these next few days and weeks is Mr. Mom as he is taking over the laundry, meals, cleaning, shopping, and other household chores until I am able to resume those tasks (thanks love!). My job during this time is to rest as much as possible, only use the steps once or twice a day, stay medicated, hydrated and fed at all times, and hold our precious little newborn...I have to say I think I have the better deal on this one!
Anyway - here are A LOT of pictures from the past few days since Micah entered our world...
*******************************************
Just about ready to meet our baby! For anyone wondering, Mitch definitely kept the secret of knowing it was a boy the entire time...I honestly had no idea!
Micah getting scrubbed off...
All the grandparents and siblings watching outside the nursery...
Big brother Caleb!!
Big brother Noah!!
Precious toes...I couldn't believe the size of his footprints when they showed me in his book - they're huge!
1st family of 5 photo:)
Newborn skin is so soft - I love it!
Checking out Micah...Noah was especially fascinated by his belly button and kept asking to see it!
Noah just checking in on his little brother...
So sweet in his crib...
Daddy snuggling with his 3rd son!
Micah better get used to LOTS of mommy kisses:)
Bright-eyed and checking out his new surroundings (with somewhat blue eyes I might add!)...
These were the presents the boys bought and brought for Micah - Caleb gave him the penguin and Noah gave him the kitten...
...and these were the lollipops Micah "gave" to his new brothers...
Caleb and Noah loved coming to the hospital to visit because, along with seeing their new brother, it meant eating lots of snacks and watching lots of movies
Most people are saying Micah looks a little more like Caleb did as a baby...can you tell?
I could hold him like this forever!
All packed up and ready to head home!
Napping at home with daddy and Eeyore...
Noah helped me give Micah his first bath last night while Caleb and daddy were out....
This is one of the many cards Caleb (and Noah) have made for Micah...this one shows my hospital room #, chart for feeding Micah, my tray of bagel and fruit, the crib and all the medicine I need to take...we have a little artist on our hands!
Noah listening to Christmas books on tape and making sure Micah sees everything too!
Welcome to our world Micah Joseph - we are so incredibly blessed to have you in our lives!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sarah, you are making such great memories for your kids! I loved reading this and seeing the photos tonight. Steph checked them out as well. I especially like the one of Micah in the car seat "All packed up and ready to go home." Special time. And go Mitch with all you'll be doing over the next days and weeks. Awesome hubby & dad. Merry Christmas to all! Judy
Sarah - I don't know how you are doing all that you are doing, but this Micah post is terrific. It is especially meaningful to see how Caleb and Noah are helping...Love....Dad
I was so excited to see these pictures this evening! Micah looks older than the average newborn with all that hair. :) Glad to hear you are all home and happily adjusting. Sounds like you have lots of good helpers Sarah.
