When Life Gives You Lemons...

...you make lemonade right? Well, with our computer being down and not having any opportunities to blog, email, order things online, surf the net, facebook, or just stare at the computer blankly during the boys afternoon rest times, I had lots of time to make "lemonade", for example - I completely painted our basement with 7 gallons of paint (walls AND floor), painted our front porch and railings (I even spray painted our mailbox and outside light which now look brand new), organized and sent 10 big boxes of unused clothes out the door, made 60 qts of applesauce with my mom - just to name a few ways I filled up my time!

But now - thanks to a wonderful friend who came to our aid and Mitch working hard to put our computer back together - I'm ONLINE again!!! So so much for any more house projects! Ha! Seriously though, although it was kind of nice to be forced into other things to do and realize just how much time I can spend on the computer, I am really thankful to have it back and I think maybe now my time will be a little more balanced? Time will tell! That being said, here are some pictures (VERY randomly because I forget some of my blogging skills and just want to get these up quickly!) of our summer that I was not able to blog until now!

Here are the boys taking their "dogs" for a walk! (This is the best kind of dog for us these days!)

The boys playing out back and our laundry drying outside while our dryer was broken for a month (another example of "lemonade").

Happy 4th to Caleb (Aug 16)!

Making applesauce with my mom...

Uncle Dave came over to play with the boys while we made applesauce.

Caleb helping me paint the basement!

The boys love "band songs" - they have CDs of college fight songs that my dad made for them and they listen to them and play along every day!  And they love if you play with them:)
One of my best friends from college, Jen, got married this fall to a great guy named Adam!  It was an absolutely beautiful wedding (and bride!) and I was honored to be part of her special day!

Mitch's mom and grandmother make piccalily every year so we came over to watch!
A few pictures from Fall Festival at Menlo Park...
