It was bound to happen sooner or later and I'm sure it will happen many more times in the months to come, but we got "it". I'm not sure what exactly "it" is but, sparing you most of the details, all 4 of us have come down with a fever and a variety of other sick symptoms.
Mitch was the first one to start feeling headachey on Wed. night and by Thurs. morning he had a 102 fever and was completely laid up in bed all day. I, obviously, was not liking the look of this for the other 3 healthy family members and so when my mom offered for us to stay at their house for the night I took her up on the offer!
Mitch ended up going to the doctor on Fri. and they said that he most likely didn't have the flu, but something "flu-like" that is going around - so at least that was somewhat relieving and so when he started to feel better Fri. afternoon, we came home for bed that night.
Unfortunately, today has been a total downfall for us as one by one I took tempatures that kept rising and sounds of coughing, sneezing and hacking continued to increase. Sickness happens so often and so quickly with kids that I'm very thankful this is the first major bout of something we have had this season. I'm also loving the fact that we have wireless now and I can blog while laying on the couch!
Hopefully we will all be healthy enough to head out to Hershey for Thanksgiving, however my expectations at this point are rather low and I wouldn't be too shocked if we ended up having a feast of Campbell's soup and saltines this coming holiday!

Here are a few pictures of the boys at my parents' house on Friday:
Hope you all are staying healthy these beautiful fall days!

Aw, I hope everyone starts feeling better soon! We are trying to stay away from illness too, but I know it's inevitable! Enjoy your time on the couch in the meantime :)
Hope everyone is feeling better soon!! Let me know if there's anything I can help with.
So sorry to hear you guys are sick ... we'll be praying that you get better soon! We'll have to catch up soon too!

I didn't see you at church this morning and wondered if something was up. I hope you are all feeling better soon! Do you need any help? I'd be happy to bring some warm soup over or pick up some groceries for you. Just let me know.
:( Hope you are all better in time for your Thanksgiving plans.
I didn't see you and your family at church and was wondering if you were sick. Take care, Sarah!
