This final week in July has been very busy for us as our anniversary is on July 26 and then 2 minutes after that is over is Noah's birthday (he was born at 12:02AM, missing our day by 2 minutes, thankfully). Our anniversary tends to get a little lost in the mix of this week so we had celebrated it, along with Mitch passing another exam!, back in beginning of July...so our actual anniversary consisted of ordering Dominos once the boys were in bed and hanging out on the couch....exactly what we both wanted to do:)
As for Noah's birthday - we had a family celebration here complete with Noah's pokey-face (rhino) cake request and lots of really great gifts for him (thank you everyone!!). Then on Tuesday, his actual birthday, we ended up heading down to the baby pool/park near our house with several friends from church for cupcakes and a playdate.
It's so hard to know what kids are going to like because their interests change so much and so fast and rarely does it work out that they love what you get them at the moment. I have no doubts, however, that the pack of gum we put on his pillow for him to wake up to on his birthday was one of his favorite "in the moment" gifts...he carried it everywhere and even did a great job sharing it around! Anyway, here are some pictures from his big day(s)....
How do you like my cake above?! When he said he wanted a rhino cake this was the best I could come up with! And below is Noah after opening another Eeyore...his favorite of all favorite animals!
Phillies hat!
Caleb was so sweet the whole time during Noah's birthday and was really excited to give him a present...here is Noah opening a kiteCaleb made for him:)
A picture of some, but not all, of the very special people that were able to make it to Noah's party! Our boys (and us too!) are very blessed to have both sets of grandparents and 6 great grandparents (plus my great Aunt and Uncle who are basically another set of great grandparents) within a 5 mile radius!!
Here's Noah with his gum! And also you can see the balloon from Grammy that arrives each birthday morning:)
Here are the boys at the park on Noah's birthday...
Climbing...
...swimming...
...and eating!
Happy birthday Noah! We love you so much!
