Last week we had the privilege of heading south to Lewes, DE for a beautiful week at the beach. We stayed in a friend's house that we have been to several other times so it was nice to be away from home but still be in a comfortable and familiar place. Lewes is pretty small town and is a very restful place to visit, especially in the off-season. Our house was a block off the beach so it was great to just walk out the door, cross the street and head right on to the beach. The ocean itself was calm too because we were on the bay side so there really weren't any waves, which was fine especially for our boys who are not big fans of the water. There is also a little main section of town that has little shops and places to eat so we spent several afternoons walking around there window shopping and looking at the boats on the canal. Lewes is also only a few miles from Rehobeth Beach so one night we headed down there to walk the boardwalk and stop for dinner. The Fox and Landis families were able to join us for the weekend as well so that added extra fun to the week! Caleb loved having his friends to play trains with and even Noah got in on some of the group play (although his idea of playing trains is a little different than the older boys). And of course we also loved having our friends there to play games and just hang out together for an extended period of time. It's always so nice to get away but I have to say that although it's been an amazing several weeks, I'm ready to be home for awhile and settle back into our daily rhythm again! (Although ask me next week and I may be ready to get away again...)

looks like you guys had a wonderful time!
Thanks for sharing! So nice to see your sweet family...JJ loves baloons too when we see them at the grocery store, etc. He calls them "baba"'s (what a lot of things are called:-) Enjoy being at home...Oh, there's a girl(woman) at our church who reminds Jared and I of you...so it's sweet that we can think of Sarah when we are in church!
These pix are terrrrrrrrrific (as usual). I think it's great you are getting so many excellent memories in digital format. The boys, and you, will have quite the time looking at these in future years...Love...Dad
