As many of you reading this blog are most likely in the same situation as us today (or worse!), these pictures of snow and shoveling are all too familiar! The boys were great helpers, that is until they realized the huge pile of snow we were creating could be used as a slide!

On a totally different note, unfortunately the boys were hit with a life lesson this morning as we came downstairs to find little Alvin (Noah's fish) dead. Noah hasn't seemed to be to upset or even realize what happened but Caleb was pretty upset. Needless to say we will be heading out on Monday or Tuesday to find Alvin Jr.!

Looks a lot like our morning :) Snow days are great!
Also...we have a Beta fish, and it's been great. They can live in just a bowl, and don't need a lot of care. The only thing is that they are aggressive, so they can't be put in the same bowl as other fish. But if you were looking for a good fish to keep in a bowl so that you didn't have to get a bigger tank, they're perfect.
Sorry to hear about Alvin, so sad. I do have to agree with Lisa we have a few beta's and they are the easiest fish to care for and you don't need anything fancy just a simple bowl. And the water only needs to be change every other week, not to bad. Good luck finding a new fish!
Looks like the boys had a great time in the snow!
