Road Trips...

This past week or so, the boys and I have had the opportunity to do several road trips to various places with friends and family.  First off was the Philadelphia Zoo with my friend Jenny and her son Dave...
Unfortunately, most of the animals were sleeping or swimming the day we were there!

Then our next adventure was to Lancaster to the Hands On House with my friend Jen and her two kids - Connor and Emily.  The Hands On House is basically like a smaller version of the Please Touch Museum and it was a great meeting place for Jen and I to be able to talk and have fun with the kids as well.
Above, Caleb is checking out Noah's face painting job...and below Caleb is checking to see if his fish is big enough to "keep" (had to be 10 inches or more) - it is!
The boys fishing...it wasn't long before Noah had enough "fishing" and decided to just start "picking".
This place had lots of activites to entertain kids such as riding a pig...
...checking weights of various seafood...
...pretending to be a bird...
...and gardening for actual vegetables in their patch!
There was even a nice picnic spot outside where we ate lunch and then, amazingly enough, Jen and I got to spend a good deal of time talking while the kids ran around the yard area.
Caleb has a Peter Rabbit on his favorite blanket at home and was excited to find one in the garden too!
All the kids running around after lunch...

And our final destination was to my favorite of all summer vacation spots - Ocean City, NJ!  The boys and I just went for the day with my mom, Anna and Dave (my sister and brother).  We packed in all that we possibly could in one day - beach, Kohr Brothers ice cream, Mack n Manco pizza, boardwalk, sandcastles, rides, George's macaroons and even hermit crabs!  That's my kind of day:)
Here are the boys digging big holes...
Noah taking a break in the shade.
Caleb and Noah loved spending all day with Uncle Dave and Aunt Anna...and so did I - more time in the sun for me!
Ice cream!
I love this picture of Caleb because he decided after he gave the lady his tickets for this ride that he didn't want to go on it anymore and here he is trying his hardest NOT to smile or look at me (which he couldn't do very well!).
What a great couple day trips!  I definitely have part of my dad's personality in terms of just loving to do things, whatever it may be...however I do have to say that I am ready for a little break...at least a couple days:)
