Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving...I know we definitely did! This year was very different for me personally because it was the first year in my whole life that I didn't spend at least part of the day with the 40+ family members on my dad's side (Hollenbach) of the family that has a huge Thanksgiving get together every year. When we were first married, the Hollenbach clan was still coming out to my grandparents house in Perkasie, so even if we missed the main meal we at least went over for dessert to see everyone. But then the tradition was moved out to my Aunt Brenda's house in Hummelstown, PA and so the 2 hr trip made us have to chose one or the other. Last year we made the trip out, so this year was our turn to stay back with the Keating family. And of course I missed visiting with all my cousins and relatives that were out in central PA, but we had a wonderful and very relaxing day with Mitch's parents! Mitch took Caleb to the Pennridge vs Quakertown football game in the morning, which is another tradition that both our families still do every year, and Noah and I stayed home eating snacks and watching the Macy's day parade, which I don't think I have ever done before either because I am usually at the game or traveling to Hummelstown! Mitch picked Noah and I up after the game and we headed over to his parents' house to put the boys down for naps and relax all afternoon until dinner later in the evening. The whole day was so peaceful, except when Noah screamed for about 45 min before taking a nap..., the food was fantastic, and we absolutely enjoyed spending the day with Mitch's parents, brother and grammy!

Daddy and Caleb resting after their big morning out!
Caleb and Noah playing drums...one of their favorite things at grammy and pop's!
Me and Noah playing with the Sesame St house
Daddy and Caleb working on a puzzle pre-dinner
Dessert! Noah eating a choc chip cookie...and Caleb...
...for some strange reason insisted on having carrots and dip and Andes mints for dessert...?

What a cute picture of your family! Is that going to be your Christmas card picture? :) Glad to hear you had a good Thanksgiving at home!

I love that picture too...and I agree that would make a great Christmas card picture.
Looks like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Hopefully we can catch up a bit this week at Mops.

I had the same thought as Jen and Lisa about the picture! I love how you always have the matching shirts for the kids! I can relate to something different...this Thanksgiving was the first that I was state side and didn't go out to Lancaster to be with my Mom's family:-( Hugs to you!
