"Salt & Pepper and Pancakes that are Burned..."

...is what the farmers at Mini-Moo Chocolate Mini's 1 year birthday party will be eating (in a corner), and maybe daddy too if he learns how to take care of a cow before the big day arrives. All the cows however, including Mini-Moo Chocolate Mini's grammy and pop and maw and paw, will be eating chocolate chip cake with vanilla icing and chocolate covered strawberry ice cream. Daddy's working hard to learn the ropes of cow care and we even had Hershey (one of the cows) in bed with us last night, so hopefully daddy will pass the test and make it in to the party...although even then he will only be allowed to eat salt, pepper and pancakes that are burned!

The above story is what entertained Caleb all day yesterday. He tends to have very different interests from day to day and for some reason he decided to organize all the cows in our house - stuffed, toys, puzzle pieces...anything that looked like a cow, except for the Chick-Fil-A cow (apparently he lives in Quakertown and didn't hang out with the cows in Perkasie). He then proceeded to carry them around and line them up in different places throughout the house, milk them, feed them, and plan Mini-Moo's baby girl cow's 1 year birthday party that will take place in 3 weeks. So creative the things kids can come up with! Mitch said he'd like to make this into a book, so keep your eyes out when you're at Barnes and Noble;)

On a totally different note, we also went strawberry picking the other day so here are a few pictures from that:
Caleb promised not to eat this big one he picked for daddy (as opposed to what happened last year).
Noah working hard to find just the right one to put in the basket, and then take it right back out and eat it!

Ohh, how I wish that I was invited to the cow's birthday! Where did you pick strawberries? Dave and I have been wanting to pick some.

Oh Sarah, this brightens my day and shows me what I've been missing since Memorial Day! My work needs to slow down to an ordinary pace very soon.

Caleb, after my own heart...a dairy farm girl! Out in Elizabethtown my Dad is now living and works on my uncle's beautiful 4generation dairy farm. If this interest continues, you need to visit! My dad would love it!
