Helmet Heads

Both our boys love riding and since Caleb has recently become a very fast tricycle rider and Noah is unbelievably accident-prone in general, we decided it was time to break into the world of bike helmets. So yesterday we made a Wal-Mart run to find just the right helmet (cheap and not totally ugly) and since then, they've gone biking 3 times! I grew up riding bikes in the cemetary behind my parents' house (a little morbid maybe if you haven't grown up riding bikes and flying kites there!), and so that is where I've been taking the boys.
The cemetary has a bunch of little paths and is very quiet and somewhat shady, right next to the train tracks (they've seen 2 trains already), and has a little grove of trees in the middle that makes for a nice snack spot. It's also nice that it is right behind my parents' house (we actually just happened to see my dad pulling into his garage this morning and yelled for him to come over, which he did with Bandit) and also about 1/2 mile from Mitch's parents' house (his dad and brother stopped by last night when we were there). I love living in a small town near family:)

Look daddy...a train!
This is what brothers are for right?!

Stopping for a drink from Maw
Running around in the trees...Noah's too funny - at first he couldn't stand the helmet and here he wouldn't take it off - I was thrilled as I would love for him to wear one 24-7.

Noah hasn't learned cemetary etiquette yet...he wandered off the path and got stuck (I think in a flat grave...oops!) so Caleb and Uncle Kyle rescued him!
Noah's rider doubles as a dump truck so he was thrilled to fill it with rocks after he got tired of riding.
Time to head home!

I think this is the other side of the one where my mom is buried! Market St. runs through it?? I love that cemetery and it is beautiful...

Looks like fun! The boys have had helmets since they go on the back of our bikes when we are riding, but I need to get better at making them wear them when they are riding their own bikes. Even though they are not that far off the ground, it's a good habit to start teaching them.
Thanks for the comment on my blog...yes, the Raisin Bran is from all my sale shopping. Luckily it's one of the boys' favorite, so I know that it will get eaten. And so gross, about the whole poop thing. Caden went through a little (short) stage where he would play in his poop, so I totally know how gross it is to clean up. NO fun! Keep me posted on all your good sale finds, and how CVSing goes. Have you found that you've saved a lot this week?
Hope you guys are all doing well...we'll have to plan a play date soon. By this point I should have just sent you an email, ha!
