...haha...if only! Although our normal routine was completely thrown off last week and I haven't cooked a meal since last Monday, it's not because we packed up and headed south for a warm winter vacation, no it's because we were all, excluding Mitch, hit with a virus that by all means has been taking it's time getting out of here! Both boys woke up last Sunday morning with fevers and Caleb also had the stomach bug, which fortunately only lasted one day and somehow none of the rest of us got it! But the rest of the week they both had fevers, hacking coughs, runny noses and bleary eyes all the way through till Saturday morning. I started to feel something Tuesday night and still can't quite shake my fever, although since everyone else is chipper and energized, I think that has been helping me not feel quite as out of it as last week. Fortunately Mitch escaped all of this and hopefully is in the clear, but I guess time will tell. And thank you so much to our parents and grandparents who cooked us meals and took such good care of us last week! I felt so wimpy allowing meals to be brought to us because I only have 2 children and none of us were that terrible, but it was such an awesome blessing and we (especially Mitch I think!) are so so grateful!!! So now here is it, another week about to begin, and we are slowly getting back into the swing of things...the laundry is cycling through, the house is fairly clean, and I'm in charge of dinner!!!
The picture at the top is a good representation of our days last week - lots of laying around and, especially by the end of the week, watching tons of movies:) This bottom picture was Saturday night...smiling and eating ice cream...I'm so happy to have my boys back!!!

Glad to hear that you are all feeling a little better! There is a lot of sickness going around.
Just wondering...is that picture on the bottom, in your kitchen? If so, did you recently paint? I don't remember seeing that color when I was last there...maybe it's just the lightening? Just curious.

no we haven't painted our kitchen fuschia, which is the color I think it looks like in all my pictures! the color comes out much better if i use the indoor setting but my shutter isn't fast enough so then the boys are blurry. funny you mentioned it though bc i almost didn't post that picture bc i can't stand the wall color...but oh well:)
We've been fighting sickness too and we live in warm Florida...so good to know I am "not alone" even though it's a "sad" way to be connected...it must feel so good to feel better!
