The "luck of the Irish" doesn't hold true for me because I am of 100% German descent...however, Mitch is half Irish...so in my case, I'm the lucky one because now I get to take part in all the St. Patty's Day festivities (along with zillions of other reasons, of course, that I'm lucky to have married my love!). It's great celebrating at The Perk with green beer, wearing green all day and finding lots of fun green things to eat! Mitch's mom stopped over this morning with shamrock cookies from Landis and after naps we're meeting up with Laura and her boys for shamrock shakes at Old McDonald's (what Caleb calls McDonald's). Then tonight my parents are watching the boys so we can head out with Mitch's parents and brother for an Irish evening complete with corn beef and cabbage and a bagpiper! Happy St. Patty's Day!
Above is a picture of Mitch's shirt he'll wear out tonight, and below is the shamrock plant Mitch's mom gave me (that amazingly is not dead yet!). Interesting fact - did you know that clover plants can sometimes have four leaves but shamrock plants only ever have three? Just learned that myself!
Also - our friend Ryan has a great history lesson on his blog that links Guinness beer to influencing a culture for Christ! Check it out!

Your new "design" looks really good. I'm so impressed!
Have fun with your luck o' the irish celebrations tonight! So fun you're having a night out.
Hope to see you tomorrow!
I love your new look and name. I am part Irish and my grandmother would always have Irish potatoes for us. I think I might have to go to the store and get some. Have fun tonight being Irish.
Sarah, first off, Green Beer is never fluff. Secondly, thanks for the link. Have fun tonight!
