So, as I said in an earlier post, Mitch and I were both away last week on our own mini vacations. I went west to the Harrisburg area to visit my best friend from high school, Jen, and her husband Brian, little boy Connor and their dog Lacy. We had a great time and really the only problems, which weren't even that bad, came both Wed and Fri nights because Noah slept only 1/2 hour in the car there and back when he normally takes a solid 3 hour nap. But other than that, considering we had 3 boys ages 3 and under for two solid days, we had a blast!
We took the boys for a walk, went to their library story-hour, headed out for ice cream, and even made it to this great "tot time" at a gym in a local church where the boys could just run and play for a solid hour - awesome! Caleb and Noah also had fun sleeping in the same room...Noah was in a pack and play and Caleb on the floor next to him and I think they were up till at least 10pm on Wed night and, definitely from what I could hear through the moniter, having a good time:) Thanks so much Jen, Brian and Connor for letting us invade your space for a couple days!!! Here are some pictures of our adventures:
We thought it felt really warm to sit outside with our ice cream but by the end of this endeavor we were all freezing (eat through the pain right?)!
Noah having a pretty good time...
Here are the boys at the gym riding little bikes...
Noah went right for this pink one...and then after getting tired with this he had a pretty good time in the "princess" tent they had set up...he's still too young for that to matter right??!!
Lunch before we hit the road!
I came home with the boys Friday afternoon and even had some girl time with Lisa and Lori, whose husbands were golfing with Mitch, while Mitch's parents took the boys out for dinner (which Noah's lack of sleep proved to be a "fun" challenge for them at the R& S Diner- thanks grammy and pop for my night out!). The girls and I went out for dinner and then to see Slumdog Millionaire, which I think has a really great storyline, but was completely emotionally exhausting to watch. My mom even slept over Friday night (can you tell I don't like being alone?!) and Saturday morning we walked the boys up to EClaire's Bakery for coffee/scones (us) and cookies (them). Even though I had the boys with me for my "vacation" and by Saturday night was definitely feeling pretty tired, I totally enjoyed every minute of it! That being said, of course I was ECSTATIC to see Mitch walk in the door - we all missed him so much!!!

Mitch's golf trip with 4 other friends to NC also went really well and apparently his best hole was his very last, which inevitably means he will be going again next year:) I gave Mitch our camera since I knew I could steal Jen's pictures (which is what I did above), and he proceeded to come back with 10 pictures of the hotel room...which he informed me was pretty good he took any pictures at all considering none of the other guys even had cameras. So here are some shots of their suite:

Notice the long red pillows on the beds...those were apparently used as barriers:)
And of course...a shot of the food!
