Every year at Mitch's dad's work, they have an older man that starts growing out his beard in early May (so that by Christmas time he looks just like the perfect Santa Claus) and then they fly him in on a helicopter to surprise all the kids with little presents (that the parents/grandparents brought into work beforehand). So despite 26 degree weather this morning, we bundled up the kids and left at 8 to meet up with grammy and pop and head over to H&K headquarters to check out all the action. Caleb remembered going to see Santa last year and the last couple weeks he's been telling me all the things he wanted to tell Santa...that he goes potty now, that we got ice cream the other night, that he loves birds, etc:) However when his name was called and I took him up to sit on Santa's lap, he just sat and looked all around totally silent and Noah wanted absolutely nothing to do with it (which is why I ended up sitting on Santa's lap). So so much for filling Santa in on all his life news or, in Noah's case, even being compliant, but I guess there's always next year:)
Off we go...

Don't they look so excited!?

Noah's ready to get back to the donuts and hot chocolate they had inside the warm hanger.

"I think I hear him coming mom"...they fly Santa over real low and real fast at first and then circle around and land, so it's very exciting and very loud.

The boys with grammy and pop
Noah got his first Thomas item...his very own Percy
And Caleb got Jack the loader (which he already is building towers with next to the train tracks upstairs)
I'm not sure how comfortable Noah is being next to this large vehicle
