July 4th Monster Post

This post is probably going to be really long, but we had such a great 4th of July weekend and had so many moments to capture (and seriously, believe it or not, I really had to weed through my pictures to find my favorites). Both of my brothers and my sister were home for the holiday and we had so much fun hanging out with them...there was more than one occasion I really thought I was going to wet my pants because I was laughing so hard (fortunately I was able to hold it together). Sam, Dave and Mitch are some of the funniest people I know and between retelling old memories and experiencing new ones, I just couldn't stop laughing. So here is a glimpse (or a very detailed view) of our weekend...

Friday, July 3rd

Friday night I ended up going bowling with Anna, Sam, John (one of Sam's best friends from high school) and Whitney and Katherine (2 of Sam's friends that were in town). Above Sam is dramatically showing Anna how to kick your back leg out when bowling (a few turns later Sam was doing a similar move and ended up falling over, tried to get, and fell again...definitely one of his most unathletic moves ever).

After we did some "regular" bowling and stopped at Freddy Hill for ice cream, we decided to go back to the bowling lane for "rock-n-bowl" until 1:30! One of the games we had to make up crazy moves and so above is a picture of Sam and I spinning around 5 times before rolling the ball:)

John and Sam bowling backwards style...and below note that I (B on the bottom left for BabyMama) got a 116...one of my best! Of course if you can see Sam's 160 or something on the bottom right, mine doesn't look so great anymore.

Saturday, July 4th

Saturday started out at the Keystone for breakfast...

...apparently we didn't order enough food so Noah proceeded to eat jelly packets.

Then on the way to Gigi's to wash cars, we passed Mimi's house (Mitch's grandmother) and saw his cousins from Indiana had just pulled in the driveway so we stopped to visit with them for awhile.

Then off to Gigi's for daddy, mommy and Caleb to wash both cars...

...Noah to get a tractor ride...

...and help Gigi make lemonade for our picnic.

Noah was so wired that he didn't take a nap and just kept jumping around his crib for 2 hours laughing!

After all the guys got back from golfing, we went back to Gigi's for a picnic and some football.

The only one the boys could get to tackle them, however, was Uncle Dave....daddy and Uncle Sam did "participate" by sitting on chairs and throwing/catching the ball when it got near them:)
Notice Mitch in the above picture and Sam in the below one trying to beat an IQ game on Dave's cell phone (that was their "activity")...

Then off to fireworks in Qtown while Gigi stayed at our house with the boys. Dave "brought" his own chair by pulling one of the captain chairs from the van out....I missed the picture (bc I was playing the IQ game) but apparently he fell over backwards the first time he sat down (very funny in person).

Yah a night out (2x in a row for me)!

After fireworks, we went to Friday's and then back to my parents to play Guitar Hero for awhile and when we finally got home around 12:30AM....we came in to find Gigi sitting on the couch and Noah running around playing even after no nap (he had gone to sleep for awhile)...can we say super wired?

Sunday, July 5th

Sunday we headed down to Community Day at the park and here are the boys driving a firetruck..think Noah's a little excited?

We also went on 2 tractor rides around the park and stopped to see the "petting zoo".

We ended up staying the whole afternoon at the park, grabbing dinner there and then meeting up with the rest of my family for a choir concert.

Our techie boys...Caleb and Noah were loving the fact that Uncle Dave and Paw share their cell phones so readily:)

Then after the concert, both Mitch's parents, grandma and cousins along with my parents, grandparents and siblings, came over to our house to watch the fireworks!

Our dinner that night consisted of hotdogs, cupcakes, ice cream at the park and then cake and cookies with the fireworks...not the greatest but it makes for happy little boys:)

Me, Sam and Dave...love my brothers (and sister of course too...but she missed the picture bc she was home making sure Bandit (her dog) didn't seizure from the noise of the fireworks)!
