This weekend we celebrated Mimi's (one of Caleb and Noah's great grandmas) 89th birthday, our 5th anniversary and Noah's 1st birthday!! It was a very full weekend, but we had a wonderful time with family and friends, good food and lots of presents! Mitch and I are so grateful that we have had 5 years now together and it's amazing just how much we have to be thankful for in that small amount of time....each other!, our 2 little blessings, a "new" house, Mitch's job at Accupac, my being able to be home with our boys, and SO many close friends and family that live close by to share it all with! On Saturday, which was actually our anniversary but I guess we'll get used to it being overshadowed by Noah's birthday from now on!, we had a 1 year birthday party for Noah at Mitch's parents' house. We had invited a couple of Noah's little buddies to come but it ended up being mostly family which was totally fine and worked out really well! The weather was perfect so that gave us some extra room for eating and hanging outside in his parent's beautiful backyard. Noah loved his cake and ate the whole thing...begging for more (in sign language) as soon as the last piece was in his mouth! He also "helped" open his presents pretty well and managed to make it to the end with only a little bruise from a little encounter with a chair...so overall he did great! Caleb had a great time helping Noah with his presents as well and has already taken over caring for the Clifford dog that Noah got! I can't believe Noah is already 1 and Caleb is almost 3...amazing how time flies! God has blessed us beyond measure with our 2 healthy, happy little boys and we are so thankful for every day we have with them!
Great grandpa and grandma Hertzler playing ball with Noah (my mom's parents)

Tootsie (Mitch's dad's mom) and my great Aunt Jane and Uncle Gene talking on the sun room and playing with Noah

Looks like the dads and Uncle Kyle (Mitch's brother) are trying to decide something very important

My mom, Aunt Karen, Aunt Lynn (2 of Mitch's aunts) and Mitch's mom relaxing in the shade

Gigi and great grandpa Hollenbach (my dad's parents), Mimi (Mitch's mom's mom) and Tootsie (Mitch's dad's mom) talking about their common bridge partners

Birthday cake time!

Noah's not quite sure what to do at first.....

But he figures it out real quick!! (and like I said...ready for MORE!)

Uncle Sam (my brother) and daddy getting it all on video

Time for presents...notice how Noah is a little wet from needing to be completely washed down after his cake!

Caleb takes over opening when Noah loses interest and only wants my water bottle

Noah loves walking behind Caleb's riding toys these days...seems Caleb isn't quite as into it as Noah is:)

12:02AM July 27, 2008....he's officially 1!!!!
