Today I got together with my best friend from elementary/high school, Jen (Clemmer) Barnes, and that's exactly how I would describe our friendship....never changing! Obviously things in our life circumstances have changed how just what our friendship looks like, for instance now she lives 2 hours away in Harrisburg with her husband and 1 year old son Conner so we don't see each other nearly as often, but when we do get together it feels just like the good old days when we got to see each other all the time! Our conversation has also completely changed as now we spend our whole time together discussing nap routines and how to handle a whiny child vs. laying on the floor in my room listening to the Beatles and eating pizza....but it still feels like we connect perfectly when we actually get to spend time together!! Today was really fun because Jen was in town for the 4th of July and we arranged grandmas to take care of our kids and were able to go out to breakfast and have a whole 1 1/2 to just talk! It was so nice and refreshing to reconnect again and it's fun because we're in the same stage of life right now as stay at home moms with young children so we are constantly bouncing ideas and questions off each other. I keep telling her she needs to move back home but until then, at least her parents are still around here so she's home fairly often which I'm so thankful for!

¡bellas mujeres!
I couldn't agree more! Every time we get together (which isn't nearly often enough!) it's like picking up just where we left off. It's been such a blessing to share this phase of life together as we've always dreamed of. You are an incredible person and such a wonderful mother. I'm so glad that you have gone before me so that I can get help and advice from you! I am so thankful for you and for our continued friendship. Thanks for your sweet blog about us :)
Love ya hon
