The other day we had another playdate here at our house with Jake and Luke Barbadoro. We stayed inside for the first hour until Noah and Luke had to take their naps and they all played really well together in our living room. It was so cute to see Noah playing with Jake and Luke coming over to Caleb to see what he was doing. Luke is a few months older than Noah and is much faster at crawling, so Noah thought it was really funny when Luke took off and he tried his best to catch him! Then it was time for Luke and Noah's naps so up went the little ones and out went the bigs ones. The day they were here was really pretty hot even though it was fairly early in the day, so after they had some fun playing baseball together, I decided to try an idea that my friend Lisa had found very fun and successful with her boys. The idea was to "paint" outside with cups of water and paintbrushes, but I couldn't find any clean paintbrushes so I cut up a new sponge instead. They each got a cup, although we quickly discovered a bucket lasted longer, and a sponge and had lots of fun "cleaning" different things in the backyard. Caleb gave his car a nice washing, although Jake didn't know it was wet and sat right down in a puddle of water on the seat...fortunately it totally didn't phase him whatsoever! I also suggested they clean our chairs that we next to the sandbox, and it was great because they had fun and my chairs got washed! I love the idea because it's a great way to keep them cool as well as give them something to do!
All the boys playing so well in such a small space for 4 boys!
Noah checking out what Jake is doing with the cars and Luke coming over to see what Caleb is playing with...
Working hard to get those chairs clean!
Just need a little more water to finish the job!
